Chris Nau places 1st and 2nd throughout 3 day World Food Championship Tournament
Chris Nau is a local Chef who had a fast start in Tacoma, working for Chef Gordon Naccarato at Smoke + Cedar. Now proudly representing Kitsap County in the Washington Peninsula, Chef Nau looks to earn a crown of his own.
The World Food Tournament took place November 11-13 in Orange Beach, Alabama, where Chefs from all over the globe competed in the largest competition in food sport. Those attending as competitors are invited as champions of previous events, set to compete for their share of $300,000 and the ultimate food crown.
Chris executed on a Pacific Islander fish louder than any other Seattle Chef in 2016. How’s that for someone you’ve never heard of?

Driving back now, Chris sounded humble as always on the phone. I could hear the excitement. Not that he’d dominated his competitiors but that the recognition from a win would afford him opportunity to continue on with his dream.
Chris claimed 1st Place and part of the winnings, coming in 2nd overall for the tournament.
